Dave purchased a Jet Ranger and hired me to teach him how to fly it. We flew it from Tennessee to his home in Salt Lake City.


We landed on a boat ramp on the way home to visit a buddy of Dave’s who was testing out a new model of boat his company was developing.

Dave is a really great guy and friend. The last time we drove through Salt Lake City we stopped in and visited with Dave. He handed me the keys and invited me to take my wife on a tour in his Jet Ranger, We had an amazing time.

With all of my helicopter experience, this is what I own and fly regularly. I built it many years ago and have updated it with Joe Huff’s engine, cog drive, reversed landing gear, and governor.

How many hours do you have on the engine now?

Around one hundred and going strong.

Ok great. Joe has one about finished for me I plan to put in a new ship I’ll build up. Plan to pick it up at Jim’s in a few weeks . Or my stop and see it run on the dyno with the pipes I’ll be putting on it with 02 sensor.

I now know I can post on this forum, at least comment. Will try a post in a little while.
